Villa Tugendhat, in Brno, is the first monument of modern architecture, in the Czech Republic, and the fourth building, in the world, which was honored by such a prestigious appreciation. The building, built in the years 1929 - 1930, was named after the owner of the textile factory in Brno, Fritz Tugendhat, who had this jewel of functionalist architecture built for his family.
